Tillakaratne recognises that any artefacts produced by the collective are not owned by Tillakaratne. Artefacts, noise or otherwise is simply a continuation of the Dada art movement begun in 1916 and so cannot be owned by a single producer. It is merely coincidental that Tillakaratne produces these artefacts at this time using a particular method to achieve a particular result. Consequently, Tillakaratne just happens to be the primary producer in all cases, only.

Any claims that a single entity can own all rights associated with a creative work produced as part of a continuum, drawn from what has come before, is self-aggrandisement at best. There is no true innovation nor true originality; how can there be when any method employed to produce a new creative work is influenced and inspired by those that came before. All are derivative!

In light of this, ALL Tillakaratne artefacts are DRM free and despite the inherent copyright automatically attached to the works, it will not be enforced.
